STEM v/s STEAM education
We are all aware of the growing concern around young people not being as equipped as they could be for the demanding economy that we live in. STEM and STEAM are both approaches to education that intend to solve these problems to provide students with the skills they need to become employable and successful. These initiatives centre around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with STEAM taking the movement one step further by integrating the Arts into learning. From this, an argument arises. What’s a more useful approach for your students- STEM or STEAM? Should one be favoured over the other? Or are they both just as important as each other?
